I co-wrote. co-directed, co-starred, and produced this narrative short film that follows this African American family as they navigate through the challenges of life and the civil rights movement . The civil rights movement as the backdrop: an African-American family witnesses the changing of times from 1964-1987. Malik and Jamal's paths begin to diverge as Malik embraces his identity. Will they be hardened by their experiences? Or will they overcome?
