Director(s):

This is a short film about Vancouver Island North's bid to become a Whale Heritage Site. A Whale Heritage Site is an outstanding location where cetaceans (whales, dolphins, or porpoises) are embraced through the cultural, economic, social, and political lives of associated communities, and where people and cetaceans coexist in an authentic and respectful way. The film was funded by the Conservation Media Group and was originally part of an interactive video project including 360VR video inserts (the full, interactive version can be seen here: https://view.wirewax.com/8045602 ).

The project is being used to recruit whale watching destinations around the world to apply to become Whale Heritage Sites, so that the accreditation becomes the globally recognised standard for responsible whale watching destinations.
