Logline: Black is Black is a short film sparking a much-needed conversation about colorism, a large issue within the black community, as well as many other communities. Colorism is the prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone, typically among people of the same ethnic or racial group. Hello, my name is Thomas Cooksey and I am the Director, DP, Colorist, Gaffer, and Editor of Black is Black. It was written by my production partner Tajh Lewis and it was sparked from a heated conversation two friends actually had. We created it not to fix the issue of colorism but to start a bigger conversation about the subject to work towards fixing the issue. Directed & Edited By Thomas Cooksey Written By Tajh V.
