This film was inspired by my memories growing up as a Korean American girl in school comparing myself to my more attractive, white friends and "forming" my face to be "more Westernized" in the bathroom alone. Even when I came home from school, I would watch Korean soap operas with my Mom and Grandma, only to see the lead actresses have plastic surgery to "Westernize" their Korean features as well.
