After living on the Upper East Side and commuting daily on the 6 train, I often found myself sitting on the subway, perfectly eye level to other standing passenger's crotches. The train would move, they would sway towards me, with no place for my face to escape. An experience shared by so many New Yorkers. So I sung about it. Matt Dennie (UCB teacher) directed me in the video, with Phil Augusta Jackson (Musician and TV Writer, Brooklyn 99) created the music for me (he also does a great cameo dancing on the subway pole). It's a celebration of the city, and a lament to moments on public transportation.
