Written, Directed, photographed and edited by Paul Jilbert DEAR DAD is the story of Lacy's connection to her father has been in the form handwritten letters she writes each week to him as he serves his country in the military. She writes one final letter to him but is determined to give him the letter only when he returns home. The film is based on a true happy homecoming story. I based the film on a neighbor's daughter who kept her final war letter on the kitchen's refrigerator until the day her father did indeed come home from his dangerous military service.
