Pedestrian Wanderlust is a video portrait series of dancers improvising in public spaces. Its a celebration of freedom of expression and a diversity of people and creative movement aimed at inspiring others to dance and get moving. For this shoot at Washington Square Park, dancer Nicole Wolcott and videographer Rami Shafi picked a starting point on a bench and then improvised together in a duet between dancer and cameraman spontaneously finding their way into the fountain where Nicole inspires a group of girls to dance with her. This magical interaction was completely unplanned and embodies what Pedestrian Wanderlust is all about.
