Produced by NEON RAY FILMS Deep underground, in the canals and sewers beneath what we today know as Bern (Switzerland), is a hidden laboratory built by an intelligent and ambitious character. The year is 2089 and Bern has been swallowed by the giants of trade and industry, the trademark of economic power houses moving in from East Asia. The oldest parts of the town remain intact, now out of place among the behemoths of progress surrounding them, as if they had been transported there from a forgotten story. ‘The Addict’, as she has dubbed herself for her tendency to overwork, is attempting to build a machine with the purpose of fulfilling the deeper, ethereal needs of others, giving humans something which cannot be won through creation of factory-made physical objects. With the help of her team, who will be the first to test the contraption, The Addict pushes forward. Night and day merge into one, her mind never sleeps. Will something as old and simple as sound waves, electric vibrations of music be the answer to what she’s looking for?
