This is "Ilha Formosa", the cocktail made with white rum as the basic liquor, soy milk as the mixers, sweet potato and red bean as the garnishes, and stones as the decoration. "Ilha Formosa", which means “beautiful island” in Portuguese, is an ancient name for Taiwan. Taiwan has rich cultural diversity with influences from Han Chinese, immigrants from Southeast Asian countries, and highland Taiwanese Aboriginals. They are all living on this island, growing up and accumulating stories together. Through the Birth of Ilha Formosa, we attempt to define the "new Taiwan spirit"- a free country with Inclusiveness of multiple values.
