Where Branches Break is a dynamic metaphor of the Black community. The film is a reinterpretation of Abraham and Issac and Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man. Abraham is a broken branch, invisible as many Black men are, disconnected from family through incarceration, violence, migration for opportunities and other causes.
