SYNOPSIS : Who is she ? She’s a woman from the 21st century. From the cradle of humanity till today, all the women who had an impact on History are gathered in her. DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT : The movie was created after the Weinstein case. "Who Am I ?" is part of this world's new awareness and this feminist movement. It shows the women's strenght, which is written since the dawn of time in their DNA, through the symbolic faces of those who made History (Eve, Mother Mary, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Pocahontas and Marianne). For the opening image, I needed the oldest representation of a strong woman, and i have found her in the works of Doctor Michel Schiro, founder of the international NGO Universalis Matter. The spectacular image of the Lascaux's bulls fresco, watched in a vertical position, shows us, according to his discoverer, a 18 500 years old mother goddess with feminine features amazingly modern. The vertical protocol of Doctor Michel Schiro inspired me to make my movie in a vertical ratio. The movie is driven by a strong woman voice, a retro-futuristic soundtrack and imagery that link the past with the present. The triangle represents the female genitals and the verticality at the same time. The pyramidal shape was reserved for the powerful people of this world in ancient Egypt. We must make the world remember the powerful role of women in our History and our future. This is our duty as artists to lead this fight, to create the imagery and the myth of the modern woman !
