Dale E. Turner is the Executive Producer, writer and lead actor in the award winning short, MY NAME IS LAMAR. His film credits as an actor include HBO's All The Way, Electric Slide, The Hard Candy Kid, Intolerable Cruelty, Real Women Have Curves, This Christmas, Loaner and Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

MY NAME IS LAMAR has won many accolades including the Award of Merit at the 2016 Best Shorts Competition of La Jolla, CA; Best Screenplay Short Film at the 2017 Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema; Honorable Mention Audience Award at the 2017 Pasadena International Film Festival the 2017 Gold Remi Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film & Video Festival, named Winner at the 2017 San Francisco Black Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize at the Global Impact Film Festival in Washington DC.

His other screenplays include a coming-of-age family film, MR. COTTON; a romantic thriller, CHALKLINE; a romantic comedy, NICE GUYS FINISH LONELY and he’s adapting a Frank Capra holiday classic, POCKETFUL OF MIRACLES. For television, he has created a workplace situation comedy THEME PARK. Dale’s writing career began with some personal coaxing from August Wilson. Dale’s first writing job was for the sketch comedy group Mental Floss.

As an television actor, his many guest star appearances include Bones, Modern Family, Detroiters, House M.D., Mr. Sunshine, ER, Brothers and Sisters, Close To Home, Gilmore Girls, The Shield and Desperate Housewives. Dale was honored to be on the 2010 Primetime EMMY™ ballot for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy AND Drama series. (Modern Family and House M.D.)
