I am often referred to as a renaissance woman as I strive to do it all! I love making art, sewing, cooking, gardening, I have a deep passion for fashion and I am also a filmmaker. I bring all of these passions to this platform to share with you!

A brief history of me: I studied fiber art at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I then worked as the events coordinator for the Minnesota Museum of American Art and the Textile Center of Minnesota. After several years producing events for non-profits I moved to Brooklyn and began working in my dream job: for the movies. My first job was as a specialty craft builder for Ang Lee’s TAKING WOODSTOCK. Soon after I became a wardrobe supervisor and costume designer. I worked on films and television. My credits include WINTER'S BONE, FRIENDS WITH KIDS, OUT OF THE FURNACE, PAN AM and a few more but my dream was to direct. In 2014 I had the opportunity and began directing digital ads for major brands.

As a fiber artist, I am interested in the intersection between fashion, film, art and commerce. I started a clothing label called Avant Saint (the namesake for my online journal- meaning Before & After). As a fashion designer I embraced slow-fashion and sustainability. As a film director, I am passionate about empowerment of female voices. As a maker, I’m committed to sustainability, handmade goods and local lifestyle. I hope to inspire play in everyday life but also fun ways to be mindful of our environment and our health and well being.
