A New Idea About An Old Idea (alternatively entitled In Their Prime) is a docu-series that documents the stories of 50+ baby boomers who successfully reinvent themselves after age 50. The series focuses on the challenges and successes of people who either by choice or necessity made a shift in their lives that led them to an unusual, unprecedented or unexpected career change or an adventure or both. The series celebrates the rich life experiences people who were born before 1964 and make up 74.9% of the nation's 322 million population. It focuses primarily on people of color and women, but not exclusively. It's aim is to facilitate a positive impact on society's perception of people over the age of 50. The pilot features a 50+ baby boomer who reinvents herself as a model, actress and filmmaker.
