KODAK SUPER 8 FILMMAKING CHALLENGE
“Collective Reel” (14 min, 2014) is a collaborative scratch super8 film produced by the 43 participants of the Cine Nights series of experimental ‘defacing super8’ workshops held during November-December 2014 in Hastings and St Leonards, and facilitated by Mauricio Vincenzi and Fancesca Daisy-Hill. This film had a smashing premiere held at The Old Chemist, and was the highlight of a non-stop 12hr durational event of eclectic celluloid projections and sonic explorations (the now infamous 3til3 event), where a 10 strong group of improv musicians played live, led by Otti Albeitz and Darren Morris, responding to the first ever screening of the finished film produced during the workshops. Here's is an extract of this collective super8 achievement.
