My name is Jasmine White and I am the writer and creator of Hotline. The director is Dallas Alexis, a graduate of Morgan State University. Hotline is about an attorney who begins working at a suicide hotline and starts to look like a murderer after the mysterious death of her sister. My cast predominately consists of black, queer and transgender talent, though the series has nothing to do with sexuality or gender expression. I believe that everyone deserves to see themselves represented in fun and escapist entertainment that doesn't put our core identities in the midst of struggle and trauma all the time. I wanted my community to have fun and be seen at the same time.
